Church Missions

These are snapshots of all the wonderful mission events that are happening this year! If you have an idea for something else, the Mission Committee meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7 PM at the church. All are welcome to come and participate.

Church Work Days

We will have 4 church work days this year to prepare our church grounds for the various activities that go on around here as well as make it possible for us to host many of our visitors. The work will vary depending upon the season, but if you wanted to go ahead and get the mornings down on your calendar, here they are. Each church work day will last from 8am-noon. March 20, May 15, October 2, and December 4.

Camp Glisson Mission Trip

We are sending a small team to Camp Glisson this Spring to help with repairs and construction needed for the upcoming camping season. Camp Glisson is a Ministry of the North Georgia United Methodist Conference that offers children, youth and adults camping and retreat opportunities to grow closer to God.

Habitat for Humanity

This year on Saturdays between April 16 through June 11 our church will be partnering with Dunwoody First UMC to build a Habitat House for a family in the Atlanta area.   Click here for the 2011 Build Schedule.

Nicaragua Mission Trip

We are sending a team to Nicaragua on a mission trip this coming summer of 2011. This is a mission of the entire church as the church has already given to this trip, and more opportunities to give are coming soon. The team is excited as we will be working with El Porvenir to help with water restoration projects in the country.

Great Day of Service

We will have One Great Day of Service this year on August 20 where the entire church and community bands together to help various organizations all throughout Atlanta and beyond. This work day will last all day, and all ages are encouraged to participate. More details will come!

Thanksgiving Basket Food Drive

We will begin our annual Thanksgiving Basket Food Drive on October 18, which is also our Fall Festival. Remember to bring in those canned goods and fill up those brown bags as we look to expand our Thanksgiving Food Basket ministry even further.
