Steve Anderson

Steve Anderson became our Activities Coordinator after his retirement as the Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Chamblee. When he isn’t fishing he spends time with friends in the North Georgia mountains. His two sons, grandson and granddaughter live in Lincoln, Nebraska. They all get together at least twice a year and once every couple of years three times.

Steve’s ideal vacation has not come to pass as yet; but he holds out hope to visit the Southwestern United States in the near future. He said there so many things he likes about Chamblee there isn’t enough space to list them. One is the small town feeling even though Chamblee is surrounded by 4,000,000 people. Another is the wide choice of restaurants and food literally from around the world.

Steve says he is not a saint; but he identifies with Saint Peter. He said the reason is that many years ago he denied knowing Christ and even walked away. Happily that has changed and he realizes even though he walked away, Christ did not. Steve said “Christ was there with every step I took I just didn’t see him for several years”.
